Rebecca Sorensen is the Executive Director of the 50th & France Business Association advocating for 150 businesses at the intersection of Edina and Minneapolis. Rebecca manages memberships, organizes district events, government advocacy and marketing efforts in her new role. A Massachusetts native who moved to Edina 20 years ago following a career in public relations for the arts in New York City, Rebecca lives for building community by creating opportunities to bring people together. She is the co-founder of the popular live music and storytelling series Morningside After Dark, served as the City of Edina Arts and Culture Commission Chair and on the Edina Community Foundation and Edina Education Fund boards. Mpls/St Paul Magazine recognized her extensive community organizing by naming her “The Connector” in a cover story. Rebecca and her family live in the Morningside neighborhood.
